She is leaving after 20 years of marriage and 2 great children and I paid for her to get breast augmentation and lift surgery at her request last fall while I was overseas fighting in Iraq. I must say I did not see this divorce comimg but she is also trying to take our business and half of everything else. I want to play nice and be fair for the sake of the kids but I feel like I am getting steamrolled. She has never saved a dime and she has indebted the business while I was away to make it seem worthless even though it cash flowed $140.000 last year. Any ideas. Remember I want to be nice cause crazy as it seems I still love her.

Well, I think you are entitled to at least one of the breasts back, absolutley.

No, seriously, Its sad taht while you were away fighting she was plotting on ways to screw you out of everything when you were gone. Divorce laws a very very unfair to the man.

Don't let her use the fact you still love her to screw you even more. Be rational, and respect YOURSELF enough to not let her take advantage of you. Your kids will be fine, one way or the other.

That's hard due to what you're saying, but honestly....NO, you can't include that as a negotiating tool. Most judges consider things acquired during the marriage, or presents, gifts, etc to be part of the marriage...

I think you should be more focused in IF she gets the house, then you should get the business (even if you still have to pay the mortgage)...IF it's getting split, then you both need to sell the house and split the proceeds. After that, if she can't prove herself to be a realiable mother, than you'll just have to buy another house, get your business back good and provide a better surrounding for your children.

Good Luck.

Idiot,

You were putting your life on the line.
You all have two great children.

She is IRRESPONSIBLE with money.
She has been IRRESPONSIBLE to her children.
She has been IRRESPONSIBLE to you

Imagine that she got a breast implant last fall and now has left you. Calling all men -- this is a big CLUE you are about to get dumped. The implants you buy are used for hunting a new man. Real women with two kids don't wast money on implants. Selfish, selfish selfish.
You've been coldly set up.

Now you want to be nice and still love her.

Dump her as fast as you can -- get custody of those kids.
Don't worry about the money -- there is more of that out their.

Let her turn into the hag sl** she is by getting as far away from her as possible and ignoring her.

there no reason to be nice only to be fair and if it''s fair to be steamrolled then go ahead but the way i see it is the person that wants to leave. Leaves with what they had as long as there not leaving because they have been treated badly if that's the case then that's a different story

That really sucks! I bet you could take her to court in small claims if you can't work it out through the divorce lawyer. You may still love her, but it sounds like she doesn't feel the same.

You need to move on and make life great for you and the kids and let her see what it is like to be on her own.

Life does go on...I know. Been through it myself.

I say leave the boobs out of it there is enough other stuff to go on it sounds like this will be ugly enough as it is. Boobs were a gift and I bet you helped her by getting those for her. I say just leave the boobs alone.

Community property. If she wants half of everything then so do you and she can keep one breast while you own stock in the other and seek visitation rights so you can suck it every other weekend.

Wow, Do you ask yourself why you love her. I am getting a divorce from a man that has lied to me and I thought I loved him
