Try wrap-around shirts, thick belts (not thin!), no excessive makeup, scarves and draping fabrics, skirts no shorter than knee-length, and never pair a flowy top with a flowy skirt (if you do you look like a big fat flower).
Also, be sure to wear clothes that fit! Don't squeeze into baby-doll tees and low-cut jeans, it will only emphasize trouble spots and make you feel unfomfortable.
Longer shirts will lengthen your torso, and pairing darker bottoms with brighter or printed tops will make your hips and thighs appear trimmer.
Good luck!

Lane Bryant for more formal and Torrid @ the mall has some stylish/funky clothes,I wish I was a big girl again:).and flattering I guess would be to show off your best assest....so whatever you would like just as long as its not bunching up or too tight- that is just plain tacky big or small.......Id try a nice skirt and top ,whichever length you desire.Gotta stay cool this summer;)
Also the average stores like K-mart ,Wal Mart,Target carries plus sizes as well as Ross,Marshalls,TJ.Maxx,etc.
Black minimizes and white the opposite.I dont like florals but to each her own. Horizontals widens and verticals give a sliming effect.Hmm...whatelse is there.....polk-a-dots I dont think are very nice.I do think lace is flattering on big girls as in a nice top. Hope this helps.

A baroque waistline is very flattering. Also well-made wrap around dresses are very nice. Just avoid lots of layers that bulk you up.

Vertical stripes are the absolute key. Try dockers with pin striping or black pants or skirt with a vertical striped blouse. Bar none, it's the most pound deceiving.

Anything black. I think bigger women look better with fitted jeans and a nice, flowy black top. Don't dress in baggy clothes because then it makes you look bigger.
