Hamsters should remain dry at all times, they are very prone to upper respiratory infections and the shock of bathing and if the animal stays damp, can all prove very dangerous to him. Give him some fine sand to roll around in so he can have a dust bath instead of a regular bath.

no, dont do it, hamsters bathe themselves, and getting them wet can bring on a chill real fast, and hamsters get colds very easily, especially dwarf hamsters

No. They will drown. I heard that gerbils and hamsters love sand baths, since they are from the desert.

they're desert hamsters... highly doubt they'd take to water willingly ;-) Plus they're so small they could develop a pretty bad chill from it pretty quickly.

NOOOOOO!!!! DO NOT DO THAT, YOU WILL KILL THEM!! YOU CANNOT PUT ANY HAMSTER IN WATER, THEY WILL GET A DISEASE AND DIE, THE SAME THING WILL ALSO HAPPEN IF YOU DON'T KEEP THEIR CAGE CLEAN AND DRY!!

NO, I did that...my hamster did not die but I could tell she was miserable......I would not suggest it.

who knows they have there own personality so maybe some do and some dont hell maybe some or even all them can't swim guess try it out and find out
