I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

I’ve talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution “a goddamned piece of paper.”

Attorney General Alberto [Geneva Convention is "rather quaint"] Gonzales, while still White House counsel, wrote that the “Constitution is an outdated document.”

"If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator" -- George W. Bush, December 18, 2000

It isn't tough to end a war! It is tough on Bush as he as an unswerviing idealog who does not have the ability to change , or to admit when he is wrong!

If i were him, and I am glad I am not , the time to end the war is nowII

He has nothing to loose and everything to gain, If the war isn't over and the body bags keep coming along with the war debt, which stands at 1/2 TRILLIION, republicans can bend over and kiss the white the House goodbye!

I am by no means a Bush supporter, but I hope he never said that! I certainly haven't seen anything in which suggests he has said that, but then I could have missed it.

But one thing is for sure, he does TREAT the Constitution as if it were just some god damned piece of paper.

According to witnesses at a meeting in the Oval Office with Republican Congressmen in 2005:

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

Also, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, while still White House counsel, wrote that the “Constitution is an outdated document.”

Yes, Bush the arrogant liar did indeed call the US Constitution just "a God damned piece of paper". One might consider that quote to be one of his most honest moments, since he's always acted as if the Constitution was indeed just a piece of paper which he enjoys ignoring.

I don't know. I do know that administrations spend half of their time trying to circumvent our sacred document. It brought down Nixon. Once in power, they lose sight of it and get in trouble because they ignore even its precepts. Like Equality, Liberty, Freedom. Everything that sets the American system apart from totalitarian regimes everywhere. If all countries had a constitution like ours, there would be far less trouble in the world. We support religious states but won't allow one here. I'd say, if he didn't say it, he certainly has implied it. And I'm not lying.

...Funny how the majority of the country supported Bush right after 9/11. Now look, you all (most of you) have turned on him. It's a little tough to just "end" a war, people. Get over it.

what president, what constitution? when, where, & why?
if you mean President Bush, I doubt very seriously that he would have said that, wether you agree with him politically or not, he does profess to be a Christian.
