I think it's best to stay away from the really strange names--both for the child when she's in school and then later on when the young woman is looking for a job. They've done studies, and resumes with identical qualifications are treated differently if one has a very ethnic name, for example. And, can you see them hiring someone named, I don't know, Tabitha or LaToya or Treebark or whatever for an executive position? And kids with "unique" names get teased in school.
