I always thought it was Newark, NJ.

I thought that it was Washington DC, but I googled it, and DC have not been murder city since 1998.
The title belongs to Kingston, Jamaica in 2005 and apparently, at the current rate for 2006.

I live in the Minneapolis MN. area and it is reffered to as murderapolis. at least a couple killings every night.
