Acting is it a good thing to do? Not for you! I think you should learn how to write and type English before you go up with the big people that read scripts. Reading is probably too advance for you anyways.

OK. First some of the feedback you've already gotten;

the comment about actor/actress - at least in LA, men and women are both called actors. An example of uninformed feedback.

The reading/writing thing - it's always helpful, of course, but actors deal in the controlled use of their emotions. You could be completely illiterate and still be a phenomenal actor, it's just harder. I'd be a little more concerned about your expressed lack of control over your emotions. Save the drama for the camera, nobody wants to spend 12 hours a day with an emotional wreck.

Now, the parts of your question/comments;

"Beautiful" is one of the cheapest commodities in Hollywood. It's the most crowded group and you have to have something special that will set you apart and make you more castable than your competition. And if you need to be told that you are "beautiful", you're setting yourself up for a lot of manipulative grief.

The comments about how little money most actors make is absolutely correct. Statistically, you have almost no chance of making a living as an actor. Fortunately, you don't have to live your life based upon statistics. But, if you can be happy doing anything else, do it. There are too many people taking up audition slots who are "giving Hollywood 6 months" before they quit. If quitting is a viable option, quit now and save yourself and others a lot of grief.

Acting is extremely difficult. You only see the lucky few, that make, on tv and movies.

Most actors do not make money and work daytime jobs to pay their bills.

Most people do not make it - it's very competitive and hard work.

The "talents" you mentioned, do not make one a good actor.

Many actors in New York City, work as waiters, secretaries, acting teachers, etc., to be able to pay rent and bills.

You may want to think about another career, where you will have a steady income.

Go ahead and give it a shot. Acting as a profession sucks (long hours, lousy pay, sometimes LONG time between gigs, creeps by the boatload trying to take advantage of you, etc. ad infinitum) I can't honestly recommend it, especially for a teen. However, amateur acting is tons of fun and a great way to meet people and learn cool stuff. Find the community theatre nearest you and DIVE IN!

start in the playhouse areas for the experience. find out as much about acting as you can but don't get into something that may keep you back such as sex films and such. if you're lucky, and you're in the right plsace at the right time you may be discovered for larger parts, but it will be difficult due to the number of those who will do anything to be discovered, especially on the casting couch. they usually don't make it! You may want to try for bit parts first, and maybe some modeling, to get professional exposure.

Janice, if it is in your blood, if you want it more than anything, and it is starting to happen, absolutely go for it. The worst scenario is that you may not make it (although I¡m certain you will), but you tried and gave it your best. Otherwise this will remain a hurtful open chapter in your life: what if? why didn't I? etc., etc.,

If it is something you absolutely LOVE doing, then go for it knowing full well that you may fail. The acting industry is rough, and although you may be good, you have to be found for the right role. You have to be emotionally tough.

i DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE HAVE TO BE SO MEAN. GO WITH YOUR DREAMS HONEY. SOME OF THE GREAT ACTORS OF MY TIME WERE DISCOURAGED ALSO. DON'T LET PEOPLE PUSH YOUR BUTTONS. I THINK IF YOU DO EVER GET A CHANCE TO MEET WITH AN AGENT I WOULD CERTAINLY CLEAN UP THE LANGUAGE. GOOD LUCK!
