I think that your best bet would be to talk with some tattoo artist at a local tattoo parlor and explain to them what you want and they could perhaps come up with something unique for you.

When my husband died, my son went to the tattoo salon and got his initials inked into his arm. They are small and no one really questions them, it is like a private tribute. You can also get something that your mother loved. My daughter is a cat person (LOVES cats) and so when I got a tattoo for her , I included a small black cat, with her name written in with the "tail". If your mom collected turtle figurines, for example, you could get a little turtle and only you know what it means. If mother had a rose garden, a rose, and so forth. My boyfriend's sister, has simply "momma" tattooed on her ankle with her mom's initials. Good luck choosing.

Go buy a copy of Tattoo Review Magazine. Read up on the best artists, look at a zillion or so tattoos and then get someone GOOD to draw it out for you. Then find someone GOOD to do it for you professionally.

Thats a very nice thing to do in memory of your mother.... I worked in a tattoo shop for awhile, and i seen lots of people either getting the face of their loved one's tattoo'ed or something that they liked, such as butterflies, etc....Maybe try something like that? Whatever you decide make sure its the one you want, its very hard to cover some tattoo's if your not satisfied a few years down the road.....

or weird to say the least
do you still have your dead mother with you
so i will decline to answer this question .because it may lead me into territories where i do not wish to go
good luck any one else ,but count me out of this one.

Use her initials or your nickname for her or whatever flower or design comes to mind when you think of her.

I don't think anyone alse idea would be what you want. think of what may remind you of your mother and what she ment to you, and you will know what it is you want. look into your heart!
