Santa Cruz always freaks me out. Once, late at night, I found WALDO! He was riding a bicycle next to a Liquer store. Oh, and nobody who lives there knows how to drive. And most of the pople on the street act as high as a kite. So yeah, let the liberals have that place, I'm pretty sure nobody else wants it.

For those who are saying that California is a bastion of liberals, here's the registered voters:

Democrats: 6,450,624
Republicans: 5,330,536

Yes, there are more Democrats in the Bay Area, outnumbering the Republicans 5 to 1.

Actually the cradle of most liberal thought, interestingly enough, is in the same arenas where the greatest advances are made in science, innovations are made in technology, and the most novel art is produced. Interesting isn't it.

In fact revolutionary ideas such as no taxation without representation, abolition of slavery, desegregation, and women's suffrage were once considered liberal ideas and now they are considered cherished milestones in our nation’s history. Conservatives, who are hell bent on preserving the status quo, consistently end up on the antiquated side of history.

Santa Cruz is the most liberal place I have ever been too. I dyed my hair neon blue and in the local community college the teacher of one class announced it to the class is acknowledgement. It would be cool to live in a world where I could dye my hair neon colors and be accepted. But at the same time, what would we do without professionalism?

Cali has some conservative areas as noted by another poster. Take it from someone who knows: Massachusetts and pretty much the entire North East is basically ALL liberal.
