I mean i live in ny and i love most of the music that comes from new york. I can't stand southern rap anymore its just violent and retarded and lil children words are used in their raps i mean anybody can rap these days. My opinion is hip hop originated in new york and it dominated 2 times already between the west coast and south. When will it dominate again? When will hip hop ever tell a story again like they did in ny and the east coast

I know what u mean when u asked about will hip hop ever have a good story to it, but NY is not the only state that tells a story in hip hop. Cali and the AtL does tell a story to it, it's the radio that make hip hop seem it's nothing about sex, drugs, and money.

No one knows where or who created hip hop! So sometimes it may seem like either the west or east or south controls hip hop, but really the fans control hip hop.

Your answer: NO!

I was wondering about NYC, what happened? Im from down south an I enjoy seeing ppl make it that was playing clubs for $4 now they are on tv. I was waiting on papoose to drop his cd, it seems like it keeps getting pushed back or something. I hope NYC can put out something like biggie, anything but emo crap music.

the best hip-hop still comes out of brooklyn (mos def in my opinion), but i don't think anyone will 'control' it. it's too organic at this point.
