My 91/2 year old daughters left nipple has begun to stick out quite a bit. It isn't sore or anything....I am having trouble remembering what it was like when I first started developing. I have a feeling it is just the very early signs of puberty, but it would be nice to hear from other mothers who may have experienced this with their own girls.Any input would help put my mind at rest. Thanks

This is very normal. Breast development is the typical first physical sign noticed by both mother and daughter. Be sure to use this time to lay a foundation for the developments that are to come. Also, be sure to introduce her to a training bra if you have not already. During the budding stage it is not necessary to push her toward daily wear if she does not feel ready. I remember that it is more the areola that grows bigger before the nipples or breasts. I remember feeling like my chest was really sore a lot, like a hollow type of aching pain. Almost like flu aches. I think I thought I might be sick a few times. It only lasts a short time in life, so no worries, but I wouldn't want to do that again. Good luck to you.

Yes, I remember. My nipples started to stick out first and they were so sore I could barely stand it.

Lady, shut the f* up. You are worried that your kid is growing up? Don't worry so much about your kids going through puberty and start worrying about actual parenting.

Weirdo.
