Answering questions on here does not help as I am procrastinating right now.
Try and make early deadlines for yourself for each course or assignment. A headstart helps out when you get close to the deadline!

Procrastination. Should I do it? Shouldn't I do it? Should I do it now? Should I do it later? Will it be correct? Will it be wrong?
Do I have the time now to do it? Maybe tomorrow? The answer is really simple. Get off your butt and just do it. Right or wrong, do it! If it is wrong fix it; change it. If it is correct, hooray! When a person isn't certain about themselves they can be depressed and this can lead to major procrastination. I can;t do it!!!! I can't get into it!!!!! These are major excuses for procrastination. Procrastination makes the person avoid the work that has to be done. Maybe the person doesn't like the work? Maybe deep depression is keeping the person from from getting into it? This isn't an easy one to resolve. We all procrastinate from time to time and it is judged to be normal as long as it doesn't go on endlessly.

Procrastination can be a cause of several different things. I've seen it's usually the case where the person procrastinating on a task, doesn't care much about it. For example students who choose the wrong major probably will tend to procrastinate more on their homework. So I think the first way to avoid procrastinating is knowing what you want and knowing yourself.
Anxiety can also be a cause of procrastination, and this could be caused by different problems which should be dealt with in order to cease procrastinating.

I am a HUGE procrastinator so what I try to do is have a list of things I have to do and set a time for it. Ex: When Im cleaning my room I write 5 major things I have to do. Then I turn on the music and I have just say 2 songs to clean the foor or orginixe my dresser or something like that, so its entertaining but I also am getting my work done. Thats what I do and it works!

Okay this is a tough one....
What is your payoff for putting it off? I mean if you really examine why you would want to do anything else but THAT then it kind of defines what you value most in your life.
So ask yourself. Why is what you are ignoring NOT that important to you... Then, next time the opportunity comes up to get involved with a similar activity you can make a new choice...
You can play the "then what" game:
If I continue to ignore this... then "A" will happen
If "A" happens then "B" happens....
when you get to the end of the chain look at what you are really giving up by procrastinating.

I was a perfectionist which led me to procrastinate. I learned to move beyond by it by realising that 20% of the effort resulted in 80% of the effect. This meant by doing very little I could do enough to satisfy most people's expectations, while at the same time put them in a position to guide me on how to deliver the additional 20% when it was rarely needed. This is because my idea of 20% was much higher than most people's expectations of 100%.

I have always procrastinated and I am still dealing with it. I am doing a litter better now. I found that after writing down all the tasks/projects helps but the prcrastinating does not disappear it only helps you to remember to do them.

When my son was young and did not want to do his school work right after he got home and before supper, I found out that he thought he could not get much done in that time frame. So, we had a little game for a few days. I set the clock and he started his math homework and the game was to see how many questions he could answer in 10 minutes. To his suprise, it was way more than he had anticipated. And he was pleased to get all homework done before supper then have to go back to it later. Do it right after school and then you have the rest of the evening to do as you please. Good luck!

I procrastinate myself, but I would say one way would be to take one assignment at a time and deal with them from hardest to easiest or easiest to hardest or according to due date (getting the ones that are due first done first) or pacing yourself by taking short breaks in between assignments, short breaks being the key words here.
