I DON'T cry at weddings and I'm a girl! I hate to think of the guy that does because to me, weddings are not the reason to cry unless, of course, it were MY wedding. Reasons to weep for joy include, Iris' graduation, Iris playing at a recital as a little girl, Iris speaking to an audience, Iris having a major role in a play, Iris' wedding (if that day ever comes), or Iris' inauguration as the 1st woman President!

I cry at all weddings, and I think it's because it's just such a beautiful, intense moment, watching a man and woman come together in front of their loved ones, making vows to love each other forever, to be true to each other. It's impossible to think bad thoughts during such a perfect moment because for a few hours the world really is beautiful. The ceremony doesn't get me like the first dance, and the daughter/father dance (or mother/son dance) do.

I think people cry at weddings because it is beautiful and the words are touching. It's definitely a happy cry.

Or because we're happy!
Or because the wedding is taking so dang long and you're eyeballing that cake......so hungry!! lol

"WE" don't -- my tears are more valuable than that! I'd only cry if something HORRIBLE happened like if I pooed allover myself for the 1st time since 1st grade!
