I clean the bathrooms and kitchen with two cheap things: Glass Plus (not Windex or any old blue thing, but GLASS PLUS) and Comet. For the floors, I sweep, then mop with water. If things are really dirty, I add a half a cup of white vinegar. My house is sparkle-clean with just those items!

The electric cheese straightner. I can't live without it.
Well, for my wife it would have to be the coffee maker. I don't drink coffee, so I would choose the toaster. My kids love instant waffles, and it sure saves time when we are in a rush to get out of the house in the morning.

Vacuum cleaner ! without it what would we do ? certainly don't like the idea of sweeping layed carpet with a brush and pan. Fridge. Washing mashine is next best. then a mop.
