I see so many poorly phrased questions here on the answers board and I wonder if the people asking the question are ever helped by the answers.
Is a poor grasp of written communication a barrier to gaining the information you need?

From my observations in here I find I can sometimes take my best guess at what the user is asking and go from there. I believe there is very poor use of English in here.

It all depends on if someone can decipher what you're trying to say. I try and give several different answers for a question because the person could mean something totally different. It's also because there are a numerous amount of young teens on here who do not know how to word a question correctly (let alone spell correctly!). It helps if someone gives as much detail as possible. I'd hope that they'd get at least one answer that helps them out. If not I'd think they'd have to reword their question until they get a useful answer.

It is important. I know that I have answered some questions and the person would send me a message saying "Good answer, but that's not what I am looking for " and they would clarify what it was.
Remember this, we are dealing with people from different countries and they know what they want to say , but they cannot quite express it because they are not thoroughly understanding of the English Language

I'd have to agree that if you want a question answered properly you should ask the question clearly.

Not enough people these days know how to read or write correctly.
