I used 360 share pro and i didn't have any problems downloading music and stuff. i have watched someone use shearaza but it caused the pc all sorts of problems does anyone have any good sites without these problems. A user friendly one pleas lol i'm quite new to downloading.

Download.com is excelant the only drawback is some of the programs say they are free then you download them and they as you to register and you need to purchase it to use it. i cant access 360sharepro as its in another user account thats disapeared. Im wary of lime wire as i've had conflicting views about spyware. ichago i use msn and and i had a yahoo but when i used both together it slowed my pc down is there any other way to get an invite to me. How much stuff is on file hippo and tucows and is is best to use more sites to download or try to stick to less?

as far as i know, these fave freeware websites of mine are spyware/adware free:
1. freewarefiles.com
2. computeractive.co.uk
3. majorgeeks.com
i've been getting lots of freeware from these sites, and i haven't had any problems with malwares. for best results, download and install my recommended free antispyware, Spyware Terminator 1.4 Basic version from www.spywareterminator.com
P.S. don't make your MSN nor Yahoo Messneger to auto start when windows start up, coz these will also contribute in slowing down your system. just open these applications when you needed them. you can configure them on their options or preferences.

Download.com for software that has strings attached, but guaranteed no viruses/spyware/etc.
I suggest www.Demonoid.com for everything from Music, TV, Movies, Software, Games, Pictures, Anime
Its a great site which I have been using for about a year now and have never had any problems with spyware/viruses/etc.
The only setback is that you need an invitation

i use 360share pro also and i really like it for movies and music and stuff but not for software because u get tons of crap like viruses. if u want software go to download.com. its a really good site and completely free from viruses

pcworld.com have a load of free downloads and all virus free. i have used loads and no problems at all.
