It depends on what zone you're in. Periwinkle (vinca), lamiums (Beacon Silver is my favourite, it has pink flowers and greenish silvery leaves), and English ivy (don't train it upwards, just let it grow across the ground. You can cut it back if it grows too thick). And if your soil is on the acidic side you might want to try something like sweet woodruff. If you're not sure, check with a local garden center. The staff at these places are knowledgeable and can help you choose the correct plants.
