My husband is a loving and thoughtful man....He is a optician and when my family members need glasses he would get them and make them in their perscription for nothing..just some respect...the 4th of July my stepfather got up in my hubby's face and told him (hubby) that he didnt do is part financially to support me and the kids because he had to give me money 1 month ago. That was because we had to get caught up on past due child support for his daughter or Child Support Enforcement was going to suspend his license and reg.. to the car...Then he would'nt be able to work then.. My stepdad was very rude and abnoxious..Acting like he was big and bad and could kick anybody;s butt (64 years old)...It upset my hubby (pissed him off) and he left.. Not once has my stepdad said he was sorry or anything that was the most worse 4th I have ever had.Now my hubby will not go over there anymore or even talk to him. Which I dont blame him..How can people do this and not even give a crap?

I personally don't blame your guy. That was totally wrong to do to him. I have a dad like that. he thinks he can pick a fight with anyone he feels needs it. I really have no solution fr this, but to keep them both seperated and never ask your step-dad for anything again, nor would I bother to get him free glasses anymore since it seems to be an issue that he thinks your husband is a deadbeat. He seems to not think about the charity your husband has done out of the goodness of his heart.

Unfortunately you are related to your step-dad and have to still deal with him, but I think I would be not as close after that. As it is, I love my dad but i can only take so much of him and then i got to leave. sounds like you got the same problem.

I have to agree with what gemm77 says, that is a good answer and that is what I would do. It is sad that family's can't get along together all the time. And to think this was over money to. I'm sorry but "step dad" should have stayed out of it, it appeared that he was talking about something that he didn't have a clue about.

WELL IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR STEP DAD LIKES TO BULLY AND HE ALSO LIKES TO PASS JUDGMENT ON OTHERS TO MAKE HIS SELF FEEL BETTER ABOUT HIS WEAKNESSES.IF I WHERE YOU I WOULD STAND BEHIND MY HUSBAND HE SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD MAN AND I WOULDN'T GO BACK OVER THERE OR TAKE MY KIDS OVER THERE UNTIL STEP DAD APOLOGIZED.HE WASN'T RIGHT GETTING IN THAT BUSINESS.YOUR HUSBAND HAS TO PAY OR GO TO JAIL IF HE GOES TO JAIL HE WONT BE TAKING CARE OF NO ONE AND IT WILL COST Y'ALL EVERYTHING.PLUS YOU WOULD HAVE TO VISIT HIM IN JAIL AND PUT MONEY ON HIS BOOKS THEN WHAT WOULD STEP DAD THINK WOULD THAT MAKE HIM HAPPY BECAUSE YOU GUYS ARE -UCKED

talk to each of them about it individually on how petty it is. then let them talk to eachother and things should be okay considering the fact that theyll have different outlooks on the situation. try it

was your step father drinking or sober? if he was drinking i would say ignore the fool if not, then i would say dint ask for any more money and stay away from him until he apologizes.

that's a tough one to grant a single answer to yet extremely demands some exploring. In concept you try to stick to the suited procedures of managing unfavourable situations, well mannered, civil, calm and so on.... yet whilst it comes right down to it if the topic concerns are provoked to the element that they grow to be burning subject concerns then the survival instinct kicks in and that i continuously desire that as quickly as that occurs that I even have not made an entire and utter disaster of issues with my reaction. i'm saying that I emotionally exhibit myself, could desire to ought to cry, could desire to ought to rant, could desire to ought to confront and then blow off the steam based... besides the fact that if that's some thing unhappy like maximum cancers or a heart attack ending yet yet another existence then for me for my section that's internalizes. I take that to heart and it alterations and outcomes my each concept and action yet decrease than the exterior and that i do no longer administration, that's an instinctual reaction telling me to stay my existence as genuine as i will when you consider which you will be long gone in an instantaneous. shop smiling lower back at you....:)
