It will either expand and lose its form or it would shrink. It is best to follow the washing instructions well, as they ensure that the quality of your clothes stay good for a longer period of time. :)

Most of the time it will shrink or fade badly. You are lucky if nothing happened at all.

It will fade! Don't do it! You could ruin all your clothes because the color will come off on whatever you tossed in there to wash with the shirt in question.

it could bleed or shrink but i usually wash all my clothes in warm water anyway and nothing happens. if you're worried about it bleeding you can buy little sheets at the store that soak up bleeding dye.

Any stains on it may set better in hot than cold. That's about the only thing I can think of. Wash it however you want, it's only laundry.

There are a few different possibilities.
Some fabrics will be damaged because they are delicate
Some will shrink
In some cases the colours will run together.
