After taking a leave of absence for cancer treatment I returned to work and got a 17% pay cut. When questioned why I was told that my boss couldn't justify paying someone with cancer a full salary because I might have to take time off for doctor's appointments! And this was after working for this person for 20 years!!!

I once worked for a small publishing company where my direct boss was the owner of the company. We had a staff of about 10 people.

He would not let any of us do our jobs OUR way, he would regulate silly stuff like the fonts we used in emails and how often we used the bathroom.

He also had a bad temper. This was the only job I ever walked out on. One day, he and our female sales manager got into an argument and he punched her in the face... in the office. I walked out and never went back.

While working as a waitress I had to call in because of a family emergency. When I returned to work my boss ask me for a doctor excuse. As I was explaining that my cousin nearly died and was being kept alive by a respirator he cut me off mid sentence and said "I don't care about your cousin, your cousin doesn't work for me" I mean its only Pizza Hut dude. Is it a requirement to be heartless to be in a management position?

One who smoked and hung out with the smokers. I am a non-smoker. She fired me when a smoking friend of hers told her a sob story about me and I was fired on the spot.

Why the worst boss? opinionated and not open-minded.

the one I had last year at work and I hope she is not going to be there when school starts. She is really smartelic and inconsiderate of people. She goes around talking about the people she does not like and I think that is so immature.

The one I have now, she writes me up for stupid stuff ex:

1. she wrote me up for calling out when I went to the dentist and I was in pain for 2 days. and I had a note.
2. When my pipes burst in my house and I had to clean up the mess. It was sewage everywhere.
3. Even when I have coverage for my shift.

I have been trying to transfer forever.
