why do the leaves on thornless blackberrys turn brown.Is it lake of water?

Lack of water. I live in zone 7-- a drip hose does wonders--In fact, if you can put your air conditioner drip near by-- you can get two things done at the same time. I also took one bag of composted manure and put it around the plant's root zone--in the fall for the winter rains to disburse in the soil-- biggest berries you've ever seen-- I had trouble with the mockingbirds tho-- and robins.
