Australia were very unlucky with a penaly awarded in Extra Time when the score was 0-0. Yes the US tied with Italy and didn't qualify.

what were the teams to outplay and lose to italy? all of them! (except ukraine) just joking italy defended well and got their goals on the counter attack, great defence by cannavaro and amazing keeping by buffon who both deserve the golden ball, along with zidane until the headbutt.

Ummm dude... That was actually Italia who scored against themselves.... Get it right.
And the US is a very horrible soccer team in my opinion.
I think that game was rigged because how can such a team as Italia play so poorly during that game? It was fishy.
