Our Astronomy teacher informed us it did. The atomsphere is primarily carbon and the pressure is great enough to form diamonds. They have done lab experiments that supposedly proved it would rain diamonds on Neptune.

It seems that it might. But, since Neptune and Uranus are gas giants, there's nothing to stop the diamonds from falling all the way to the center. So there may be a whole lot of diamonds there, but we'll never be able to get to them.

No i do not wish it would rain diamond drops they would injure my head!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you think i want a bloody head or a concution or a trip to the hospital????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WISH WOULD RAIN FOOD THEN THERE WOULD BE END TO WORLD-HUNGER. BUT NOT CASH , TO MANY GREEDY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. We don't know for sure, but it's definitely possible. The inside of Neptune is warm, but we're not sure how warm.

no. its atmosphere is mostly hydrogen and helium, with small amounts of methane and other trace gasses. Any rain in the lower atmosphere would be condensed (liquified) droplets of those gasses.
