When God created us, he gave us free will, and we chose to sin. Now, many people don't want to be accountable for that sin, so they make up a god that wouldn't hold them responsible.

Everybody does not have to believe that there is One Creator. Christians believe in God. Buddhists believe in Buddha. Muslims believe in the Prophet and Allah.... I am really confused by what you are trying to ask. Do you mean Jesus is human, why do people worship him? I wonder the same too.

For the same reason people do things that are unhealthy for their own existence (e.g. smoke, or eat junk food) and the same reason why we have so many examples of mans inhumanity to man.
That reason is, not everyone is taught the difference between right and wrong; yet we all have the potential to learn.

What the hell are you trying to say? Explain what creatures you refer to. Preachers? Movie stars? Henry Ford? I give up. Stupid rhetorical question. Not enough info.

I think you are asking why we create idols here on earth when, in the Ten Commandments, it states that idolatry is not acceptable.
I think one reason that people choose to create idols is because when one looks at the Protestant and Catholic Ten Commandments ("Thou shalt have no gods before me" and "I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt have no strange Gods before me."), they aren't as clear with that to everyone in a world that a lot of things have to be detailed for people to understand, but the Hebrew one is just that. It states, "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any manner of likeness, of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; Thou shalt not bow down unto them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me; And showing mercy unto the thousandth generation of them that love Me and keep My commandments."
Another reason people don't heed that commandment, or any commandment at that, is because not everyone is religious. People who are even a little religious don't hardly follow the Ten Commandments, and even people who are pretty religious make mistakes to.
