Anything that involves numbness definately involves a nerve. The key is to find out where the nerve is being irritated. because your lower leg (below your knee) involves more than one nerve, you may have nerve irritation in your leg or buttock area because those nerves travel together. Because you are having most of your symptoms at night is a sign that this nerve irritation is in the early stages. Vascular (blood) supply decreases in your extremeties at night because your body keeps most of the blood for your main organs. This usually increases your symptoms for nerve damage in your extremeties.

I would start off with some lowback and leg stretching twice a day, and try using contrast therapy on your low back, alternating moist heat and ice, before bed. If things don't improve, get checked out. I would suggest a chiropractor.

I'm not a Dr, but it sounds like you may have a nerve pinched off in your leg somewhere possibly due to you fall. You should have it looked at by a Dr just in case it is something more serious. Could be poor circulation, a blood clot, or worse. Just go have it looked at, it's better to be safe than sorry.

No. You probably have a pinched nerve and this could be greatly helped by seeing a doctor & getting X-Rays. He'll probably prescribe physical therapy. Good luck!

hi
my husband has the same problem..the dr told him he damaged his disc above his tail bone..you may have injured your sciatic nerve..it may have a tear..if you have a disc above your tail bone that is sensitive to touch then this is part of the cause to the nerves in your leg.
I suggest you see your physician for pain management. good luck & god grant you some relief.
