no it can't... you have to have one to have the other... if there was no poverty, there would be no wealth either ~ like you said, everything has to be balanced.

No! There will always be the haves and have nots. One study concluded that if you divided the worlds wealth equally among the world's population that within 5 years most of it would be back in the hands where it started. This is because those that have the wealth would continue to do what is required to accumulate it and those that are poor would continue to do what has made them poor. Some of the formerly rich would not regain it and some of the formerly poor would manage to keep it but most would return to their former position in society.

No. This is the problem with liberals, they think that we should try, its ridiculous. I mean, if we gave every poor person in the world each a Billion dollars, it would just drive up the cost of liquor, cigarrettes, guns, jewelry, cable, satilites, televisions, video games, cell phones, basically all electronics, and Sean John jeans to astronomical prices. Then everyone would think they could sit around and do nothing for the rest of their lives and the economy would collapse.

Nope, poor in this country are wealthy in Somalia, we could ensure a level of basic provision but there will always be those who have less than others, even had homeless under Communism.

Poverty can't become history because the human race is naturally depraved. Poverty is an outcome of depravity.

It would be nice if it could because not only would many, many children of the world not be starving when they go to sleep at night, but the whiners of the world would have less to whine about.

I don't think so. There will always be people who don't have the
"want" to change things.
