As a "foreigner" living in the US, I would personally say "definitely"!

But if you think about your question a little, you will realize the answer is obvious. No foreigner comes here for any reason other than to take advantage of opportunity. Compared with the rest of the world, there is no "free lunch" in the US, those seeking something for nothing go to Europe. The only foreigners that come here are those that want to strive for success. It's been that way for 200 years, which is why the US is doing so well after what is, in historical terms, mere moments of history.

I love it here, and I know you do too, or you wouldn't stay.

It wouldn't be such a bad thing if we gave everyone here the citizenship test, and threw out everyone that failed. Of course we might lose most of the government! LOL

Good place? Hell no! It is an "excellent" place to live. Now as far as living as a foreigner, we should think about it a bit longer. I believe that for someone that moves to the US from abroad and wants to have an excellent or good life, he/she should not simply fit in, but live the American dream, work hard and be a model citizen even for some that were born in America, are citizens, but "unfortunately", take it for granted. Therefore, not live as a foreigner, but as a real American!

Yes. Foreigners do not have to learn English for one thing, and everyone bends over backwards to help them. Americans however, actually try to learn the language of the country that they are going to live in (vacations are a completely different situation).

Definitely yes! Your opportunities here are some of the best in the world......not to mention you get express yourself without worrying about the government or a group of thugs knocking down your door in the middle of the night to kick your butt or worse. Wouldn't live anywhere else! God Bless America!

Yes, regardless of what you hear or read, America still is the land of opportunity for everyone. Our country was built on the backs of immigrants that came for escape of the tyranny of Europe. In this country, we protect the rights of the individual. Please, let me be the first to welcome you to the opportunity of your lifetime.

Ask the millions who have emigrated here...but not the dead ones! :) There's a reason why so many people want to emigrate to the United States.
