I thought that was the best way to bid farewell to "Zizou." I didn't cry for you Zizou. I laughed at you cos thats what you deserved. Wish I could have at least given you a handkerchief as a memnto so that you could have used it to wipe off the tears.....Bye Bye Zizou. Get your *** back to France. And don't cry too much......save some tears for future which by the way you don't have any.

im a little confused why he did it. i guess there must have been a few words going on on the pich that we didnt hear, but still, that was totally uncalled for, and it may have cost his team the world cup quite easily. Also, this will become his legacy and what he4 is remembered by.

Well, at least he went out with a bang and not a whimper. And you're right, he deserved the red card. Materrazzi did seem to have fouled him by holding but when Zizou confronted him he had acted innocent and said nothing (saw this in replay, and my accuracy is probably questionable) so I guess provoking is out of the question. Sly trick on Materrazzi's part but he has no blame.

What Zizou did was the reason France lost the World Cup this year. He will live the rest of his days thinking about what he did today, instead of what he accomplished in his life. Such a shame. But that's what you get. Forza Italia for at least not playing this dirty. One thing's for sure, Zidane does not equal the spirit of Fair Play.

i do not fairly understand Zidane, in ordinary words what the commentators were keeping about him, and how brilliant it became to be sure this sort of "stylish participant" as him end his career that way. It became so disheartening, for the game, for the game, and it would want to were fairly devastating for the guy Zidane. It regarded surprisingly ugly on replay. i assume we are going to listen sometime what became suggested by employing the Italian, what Zidane became wondering or feeling. Having a mood myself, I felt sympathetic. He became drained, sweaty, had purely shaken off a shoulder harm that purely about took him out of the game, had purely neglected a objective attempt bythismuch, and had possibly believed he had purely gotten fouled. He might want to were wound extremely tightly, adrenaline and that strive against-or-flight reaction in complete function mode, and he snapped. possibly there became something contained in the spirits haunting Die Olympiastadion in Berlin that took carry of him...lonely certainly. The gamers all recovered properly from it, and there did not look any residual themes coming from both part... I sorta desire he purely supplies up the captaincy, apologizes profusely, and probably retains for yet another season or something in order that he would not "bypass out" on such an undesirable be conscious.

That's so mean! What he did was brutal! He did deserve the red card but I don't think he deserves such mean comments. He's a great player and despite what he did he will always be remembered as one of the great ones. He has had incidents similar to this but I did feel sorry for him because he always seems so calm and to exit your career like this................I'd be depressed!

It was a cheap shot for an otherwise classy player. I only hope he had the grace to be as red as that card. For shame!

It clearly is the way he wanted to end his soccer career, so, more power to him. Seriously, after all these years and all his acclaim this is how he chooses to leave soccer. What an idiot!!!

i know.. he made his last match a total mess. if he wanted to hit the guy, he should've atleast made him bleed or something... he didn't really hurt the guy and he went away. stupidest thing he did. he couldn't even come to the stage to get the medal..... france could've won if he was there....
