My exgirlfriend wants to try to have a relationship again. And I do love her and want to be with her. She wants me to move to Pennsylvania to be with her, I live in Ohio, But I have two cats that we got together when we were together before. She says she does not want the cats and that her landlord wont allow the pets where she lives. I dont want to get rid of the cats, this may ruin everything and we may not get back together. What should I do?

It sounds like your ex-girlfriend only wants to get back together on her conditions. If she is not willingn to compromise as you are, then it is not worth it. You're giving up a lot by moving to her state, and she can't even let you keep the cats?! If it's meant to be, then it will happen whether you move to Pennsylvania or not. Good luck :)

Well, why not find an apartment in te area that allows pets and have her move in with you. Its the best of both worlds- everyone is happy! Even if she doesn't like the cats, you do and in relationships we have to make sacrifices-you are moving to her so she can accept having the cats.

Ask her to come live with you in Ohio if she really wants to be with you. Pets are like people children. Its like she's trying to say she's more important than your children. She sounds a little bit selfish to me. Its not all about her, its supposed to be 50% about her and 50% about u if she can't do that then maybe it was a good reason ya'll broke up the first time.

Well if the cats are more important than the girlfriend and if you two can't come to an agreement it looks like this relationship may not be going anywhere. You'll have to decide which is more important to you.

Get rid of the cats to good homes or a home you may regret not giving this a try.

It really depends on why you broke up in the first place. But if you are stressing about giving up cats (which says you feel they are a priority) it probably means this is not a good idea.

i think if you truly love this woman you should try to find another home for the cats. a relationship is more important than two cats. what is she suppose to do? move so that you two can have your cats??? think about it.

Well, Id say if you are fighting that badly about cats - I would say the relationship is not very strong anyways. Just move on while you can.

what shes really saying is,
i want to see how far you will go to get to me, get rid of the cats, move to my city, me me me, and it sounds like if you are not willing to get rid of the cats, then don't, and get a new girl, one who will compromise
