I think life is what you make of it and if you find someone to click with and work at it, you may call them a soul mate. However, it takes "two to tango", so you both need to be on the same page for it to work and call it what you want......it's called happiness.

No. With all the billions of people in the world I think there are several possible perfect mates out there somewhere. They may be in other states or other countries or they could be down the street but I believe there are at least a few people each of us could have a successful, long term relationship with. The trick is taking the time to find one of them and not settling the first person who comes along.

absolutely. my sons dad and i were together for 7 years and we've now been broken up for 6 years. he says we are soul mates. although we dont work well in a relationship, we are the best of friends. i know he will always be there for me and i will be there for him. we would do anything for eachother. when you have the utmost love and respect for someone no matter what, then that is your soul mate. his wife gave him the ultimatum, her or me. he filed for divorce. my friendship means that much to him. i think that would be a soul mate. a true soul mate is hard to find; but they do exist.

Yes I do, but that doesn't mean you will get to be with that person. Even if he/she feels the same way sometimes it doesn't work out. Most people I know think about that special someone who isn't in their lives anymore. That's why there are so many websites promising to help you reconnect 'for a small fee'.

No.
I believe that there are many potential mates for any one person, but I also believe in the bell curve; those on either end may find it more difficult to find compatible people.

yes...I think that when you get married that should be the end of your looking for a mate. There is no need for a spare.
