You take the new job and hold you own if they don't support you they was never a true friend anyway...You can still be friends after hours....Business and friendship don't really work but don't ever let that stand in the way of your career

The job, if they are your friends, they will understand your need to succeed and will support you. Just don't be an asshole boss if you can help it.
