I've been hypnotized before by other people, and have found some of my past lives... However I don't know how to relax enough to meditate or hypnotize myself so I can do it on my own.
Any suggestions?

Past lives are not real. The people who have hypnotized you before are just preying on your hopes, fears, and dreams for either money or your approval.

being hypnotized is really bullshit sorry to say this but someone can not take over your body it is only an agreement between the "victim" and the person preforming it do not waste your time and/or money on this besides there is no way of testing if what the person or yourself says is you past life so there can be no best way I am pagan and i believe in past lives but i just focus on the future the past already happened just leave it be. Another note I have heard many many girls claiming that in their past life the were Cleopatra or Joan of arc or queen Elizabeth three girls couldn't possible be the same person but they swore up and down and even got into fights about it honestly in your past life you most likely were a peasant or just an normal person and if you think you were i highly regarded figure kodus for you just don't tell me about it sorry to be rude but honestly knowing about your past life can help you very little in the future

Well it seems like the only way you can find out more of your past life if you're unable to relax is to keep seeing a past life regression hypnosist.
It is tough to do it on your own. I've been on this spiritual journey for 18 years now, writing my dreams down for the last five years and started seeing my guru Amma a year ago. A combination of the sincerity in wanting to grow spiritually to find out who you are will help you remember who you are in the past. Actually I only recalled one past life from memory a few months ago and the second recall was very brief when I am told something about who I am. These occured when I was dreaming.
Even if I meditate for an hour everyday and receive visions, but I feel that my Soul will let me know more who I am at the right time.
