I have a five year old daughter. She is really smart. I thought about puttting her in some dance classes, so she can attend a fine arts school when she turn10. Do any one know how much it will cost for to take jazz, modern,and hip hop lessons.

Why not call a few studios and ask?
I think that locally it's $10-$20 per hour class. It's usually a monthly registration plus an additional fee for performances and costumes - that's once a year.
Each class also has a required attire and as they move through the levels, the attire changes. Most schools require that students supply their own shoes, which means that your child would need tap shoes (if you were interested in that), jazz shoes, and possibly another pair of dance shoes. They must be replaced as the child outgrows them.

From Akron Ohio area: It is about $120 a year plus $50 in the spring for the recital. Additional $50 for costume. Most five year old's costumes are not much more, but I could be wrong. All above dance genres are about the same. All need jazz shoes.

At Towson university 1 dance class costs about $60

Well at my dance studio (Leslie School Of Dance in Elmira Heights) 1 class is 65.00 every 3 months. But not all studios are like that this is cheap stuff! So if you live in Elmira make sure you go to www.leslieschoolofdance.com and see what classes your daughter can take!

I live in the Four Corners of the Southwest. It runs $35 month per class. Each youth class runs about an hour per week for each dicipline (Hip Hop, jazz, ballet, etc.)

It depends on the stuiio for most arond here for 3 classes is $90 check with your local studio. Sometimes collages have dance classes for cheper.

find your local theatre. find someone there and ask for the best and cheapest dance lessons. tap and jazz usually run about 40-65 dollars depending on who you know. in other words interact witlocal theatre!

in ohio it's about 6-8 dollars and hour...then there are costumes (about 50-80) and recital 20 and begining year about 20

well i curently take 3 classes which cost 96. but i recommend putting her in ballet, its the foundation of dance
