I tried to tighten them up with a wrench at the top of the spoke near the rim but it turned the whole spoke and would pop back to its original position please e-mail me I have pictures lcman12@aol.com

Remove wheel from bike, remove tyre, tube, rimlock and rim strip. Apply penetrating oil to spoke heads and let it soak in for a while (may be days)
If spoke still turns you may have to clamp vice grips near end with nipple (this will damage finish on spoke) Tighten no more than half turn and move on to next one. get them all as even as possible.

some rims require breaking the tire off the rim..Then a srew slot to hold the spoke..then adjust normally.....

very carefully one at a time ina criss cross pattern smalladjustments tap and listen for tightness
