I know a lot about Arabs and Muslims, they are VERY sensitive to stuff about their mother side or sister(s).
So the guy before me is right.
I say Zidane had the right to head-butt the cheat Materazzi.
Italians really are cheats, they just wanted Zidane to be out so they can play with more confidence and so that France's best player couldn't play, or somethng to that effect.

Wow, nostress2000 really has a wild imagination.
What I think happened is Materazzi was tugging at his shirt (as seen on cam) then Zizou probably told him to f*** off, which is why Materazzi replied with an insult which caused Zizou to headbutt him.
You can see Materazzi talking but can't see Zizou talking coz his back is to the camera but I think he said something to the Italian to make him insult him. No one would insult someone just out of the blue.
I think both are at wrong but Zidane's reaction has to be way worst than whatever was said to him. A shove in the chest would be understandable. But to use his head shows maliciousness. It's not surprising for Zidane anyway. He lashes out at opponents all the time.
And I don't think they should award him the Golden Ball after this behavior.

Zidane told his agent that Materazzi said something very serious.
But reporters belive that Zidane said to his friend that Materazzi said "You dirty Terrorist". Also people belive that Zidane was told by Materazzi "You dirty arab". When i looked at the video I did see Materazzi saying some stuff to Zidane not touching him. So I belive that Materazzi said to Zidane "You dirty Terrorist". A source i used was fifaworldcup.com. Why would Materazzi say anything to Zidane to make him mad? Also Zidane should start telling what happened with him and Materazzi.

In Turkey every journalist talk about that and some of them said Materazzi said that he was a Muslim terrorist so that must be the reason of Zidane's reaction
If Materazzi said something like that I find Zidane's reaction quite right.

The last match was going well and I supposed that France will be the World Cup Champion, but letter when the accident happened I was disappointed that Zidan head putted Materezzi on the chest. Afterward, when I was watching the replay several times, I understood that Materezzi insulted Zidan. However I know the Italian language very well and I have read these words on his month. He said:
“You are (Zidan) is dirty Arab you do not belong to our society go back to your place, you are the terrorist” something like that. Maybe I missed something but actually also he said something bad to Zidan’s mother side. This mine point of view. I know how is bad if someone insult your family, because in Muslim society if somebody will say something bad about your mother or family you going to kill him. Mother is the honest person in the family. I know that, because I am Muslim.

The red card should be given to the one who provoked and not the victim. If materazzi is proven to have provoked Zidane with racist remarks what would FIFA do? Is there an investigation into the incident?

Well, I'm sure that the Italian defender said something that really ticked Zidane off, but Zidane is the captain of his team. He was playing on world-wide TV. Zidane is a professional. When you are a professional, you are supposed to keep your cool, no matter what. Zidane disgraced himself by losing his cool and the headbutt.
You choose the action, you choose the consequence.

I don't think zidane just did it for no reason. not only did materazzi do something with his nipple but you could tell zidane was just walking away from it at first and then materazzi said something else. then zidane turned around and hit him.
i'm not really sure what happened but that headbutt was frickin cool.
and check this out:
