How am i going to get discovered?

Question

everyone says i have talent, but i dont know how i will get discovered. i want to sing for my career, and dont just say stupid stuff, ok? i used 5 points to ask this question, i want helpful answers please!

ok, there are no clubs or anything and americal idol doesnt even come near my town...im in the middle of nowhere.

u dont have to be in a middle of a city to get noticed. Sandi Thom went on tour from her basement via the internet. First thing (1) get coverage. (let people u)
2. do something different ( we dont need two J lo's )
3. get into a postion to get ur self heard, get experience(move to a city)
4. make sure that u are good, dont trust people that love u.
5. practice every day for at least 3 hours
6. make ur self marketable. Take of ur looks ( drink a lot of water)
7. try very hard, do what ever it takes

That should take u further. Remember- Be smart, try to look like what is already out there but sound different.

Record some demo tapes and start sending them everywhere. Opera companies, bands, broadway theatres, whatever you can think of.

See if you can do some small shows at your local library or civic center or something.

And I know everyone's already said it, but a myspace wouldn't be a bad idea.

And even though you have talent, get voice lessons anyway. A good voice trainer can help you improve your singing a billion times nomatter how good you are naturally.

go to myspace and make a music page. All the major record labels look at the myspace pages to see if you are good and are ding at places in your home town if they like you then they send someone out to one of your shows. A singer that is being played on mtv was discovered on myspace. So was the ban the red jumpsuit aparatus. Give it a shot. Record some music and make a music page

Well, there is this agentsy called proscout. you can go to www.proscout.com and they will tell you when they are sceduald too come to your town. by the way they help you get in too all sorts of differant carrees like singing acting or moddiling. it works sort of like american idol. as too say, they give you a number too whear, they will call you into a room, and if they like you then they will give you a card that will send you too chicago! hope this helps!

I would make an attempt to get as much exposure as you possibly can. If you are really good, perhaps even try out for American Idol. You need to get yourself out there and make it happen... I know that is easier said than done, but it's the key to success.

Get a MySpace page, record some tracks, and then advertise.

Play small gigs and open mic nights.

Maybe also consider finding a band who are looking for a vocalist.

if you are as talented as everyone says that you are, make a demo of your favorite song, but make that song your own. use a karoke tape to sing the song with. also, write your own song and sing that on the demo. after that send the tape to whatever company you want. (Like jive, colombia, rca,motown, univerisal). also, if you believe that you will make it, you will make it in the business.

Just start small with small gigs that could be hosted by your friends or family, and eventually (if you are good) people will hear about you. If you let people know about you, you will be discovered
