No method of birth control is 100%. I had my tubes cut and they still said that 1 in 400 gets pregnant. There is no certain method besides getting a hysterectomy. But with the shot or pill, its 95% - 99% effective.

There is a certain risk with ANY birth control method, including the injectables.
