If you would not do it with your spouse sitting right next to you then you should not do it at all.Yes it is cheating if you hide it!
Good Luck!

The real question is: Do YOU feel that you are cheating when you're chatting online. I can't answer that for you. I know that I would feel like I was cheating if I were having internet sex with a male counterpart. If you feel like you're cheating, or if your husband/boyfriend feels like you're cheating, then you need to stop. What's more important? Your relationship or some person in cyberspace that you have no idea what they even look like?

BTW - Most affairs start out as just friends. When you start looking to someone other than your husband to meet your needs, you seriously need to talk to your husband!!

Yes, if it's personal and sexual. Talk to your spouse instead. Or, answer a bunch of quesitons like this on line! But real chatting and creating a "relationship" with someone on line is just like cheating, in my opinion.

No I do not consider it cheating by chatting online with someone else as long as you are not talking about sex....

Chatting is cheating depending on what you talk about. If you're helping someone with something or talking about innane or non-personal things then no way. If you talk about personal stuff or your spouse or partner, that is bad (unless you're telling them what a stellar guy/girl he/she is). Minor complaints are OK too.

And obviously cybersex online is cheating. NO, it is not like porn, it is, in fact, person.

Depends on the content of the chatting and also on the intent or benefit of chatting with that person.

-do you you keep it a secret that you speak to the opposite sex
on-line
- do you talk about sex (cyber sex) when you chat,
-do you share pictures with each others
-do you talk your spouse down or make fun of them in your -chats, -
-do you always chat with the same guy/girl and find yourself thinking about them when not on-line
-do look forward to your next chat with a particular on line friend and long to be with them
-do you want to meetor planning to meet this particular on-line friend

If you answer any of these YES you are cheating

I t depends what your intentions are. If its just a friendly chat and you ahve no interest for it to go further then that, then no, its no cheating. Now if you have intentions of having a sexual conversation, then I think thats dishonest and disloyal to your bf or husband. Not to mention, disrespectful.

It depends on the topic of chat, and how honest you are to both your spouse and your online friend.
Not all online chatting involves sex

look at it this way if what your talking about with whomever your chatting with would you still have the same discussion if your spouse was standing by your side? if not then..probably the conversation is heading in the wrong direction. good luck to you...and your spouse.
