One that is complex and indifferent to the whinning of a person with the resources to type the above question into a keyboard.
Occasionally it helps those that help themselves but even then fate is a fickle ***** that would eat her own children if the momentum swings another direction.
Again whether a baby is born or not, it doesn't really matter in the end does it? Same goes for all animals. Cows, birds, cats, endangered spieces, it really doesn't matter. In a hundred years you'll feel better about the whole thing, so will I.
You know why? Because we'll be dead and completely indifferent to the whole thing.

Wow, self loathing is a terrible thing!
The world has always been crumbling. That's a fact. Eventually, it will be an uninhabitable mudball. So what? Eventually, humanity must find a way off this rock. That's what life is all about - advancement, progress, knowledge, growth, civilization, technology. If you choose not to breed, then that is great. But your brother and his wife have chosen the path of life, contributing to mankinds great march into the future. Rejoice, and send them a few bucks.

This is not your right to decide if somebody gets pregnant or bear children. This issue encompasses way much more criteria than only the world crumbling around us. Is the world really crumbling around us?. May be your world is crumbling around you not your brother's world. Open up your mind and try to see the life from some body's else eyes too. Your question is hateful and you are the only one who can stop your world from crumbling. I still think that there is hope and many people are doing wonderful job in saving this world. You can be one of them? Are you one of them?.

There's nothing wrong with bringing new kids into the world. Do you think it should have been better earlier, like in 1350? The world was f'd up then as well. Bringing kids to the world is just part of life, and we all can handle it.

Yes. That is a brilliant idea. Both the 100% abortion, (though it would be faster and more efficient to just nuke every corner of the world) and the teaching our children to hate each other. Your mother seems to have done a pretty good job of that judging by your other questions.

Lets hope your brother and his wife will do right by the new baby and teach him/her not to hate and not to be a racist, that is a good beginning for Peace and a non-hate world . Lets start with the young, the others have already screwed up.

No matter how 'bad' things get....reproducing is an instinct. Look at Africa...people have babies they can't feed....it's sad.
What's really sad is that if we didn't waste our money on jewlrey, luxury cars and other status symbols we could end hunger and cure many diseases.

Don't be so pessimistic. Maybe this child will grow up and find a cure for cancer or something.
