Materazzi will never be the player that Zidane is! Even in this game, he was the best player and he should have be awarded the man of the match if that thing didn't happen.
And France should have won if he was there, I'm sure of that.
Zidane is an experienced player and he wouldn't react like that only if Materazzi said a very humiliating or bad thing.
...And I'm sure that Materazzi didn't got all that he deserved cause if such a professional like Zidane did that , then it was a very very serious thing, so Zizou should not have stop after the butt in the chest!

Zidane is a champion! I'll just put it this way he's not going to be remembered for getting the red card, he'll be remembered as one of the legends of football. Who cares if he was sent off he wasn't even supposed to be playing in this world cup anyway only because Domenech is a crap coach who couldn't pull it together and had to beg him to come back into the team. Anyway don't get jealous just because he's a multimillionaire soccer legend and you're just a pathetic loser.

i think that mata must have said something about his religion, zidane is a legend, a true legend, the term great gets used a lot in sports but he is truly one of the greates players of the modern game, i will never forget zidane and what he has given football and us, the fans of football, it was a sad thing to see him end his illustrious career in such a way, he has won everything there is worth winning in football, i think he was foolish to headbutt but i still love him, and im english, we hate the french for gods sake so if i can forguve him surely you can

has noone here ever lost their temper? wow i'm among some great people because surely you wouldn't criticise someone unless you could have held your temper no matter what! i think he was annoying zidane all game and zidane finally lost it, a sad end to one of the greatest careers ever.
