ebay is an online marketplace, a bit like a virtual op shop really but with plenty of new things too. You first ned to register. u can do this with a credit card (there is no charge this is just to confirm ur address) or if u have a email address that is provided by a verified service provider ie bigpond etc. you also need to register to be a seller which u can do via mail or via credit card (again no charge) delivery to buyers of ur items is paid for by the buyer, likewise if u buy something u do pay for postage. always ask questions when u are looking at bidding on sumthing as ur bid is a leagly binding contract and cant be retracted except in very rare circumstances. you can pay with a bank deposit via net transfer or at a branch. or with PAYPAL with a credit card or ur bank account, you have to register with paypal, and its accepted by many international sellers aswell tho there may be some fees with this one. also with cheque and money orders. there is a feedback system so u can see if anyone has had a problem with the seller u r looking at dealing with. this gives a good guide as to what they r like as a seller. there are a few things not allowed to be sold on ebay, u can find these things listed in the help pages.
i LOVE ebay and use it everyday even just to browse. u can find the best bargains and if u can find ppl that are selling close to home u can even pick up items so as to save on postage. i also sell on ebay and make a little money just from my kids old clothes and toys. The only bad experience ive had was a buyer not paying me but it didnt matter cos u dont send the items till payment is received anyway so i just resold it. have fun with it and dont spend too much! lol
