do you ever notice a lot of bands get their names from simple phrases we use everyday. oddly enough I can't think of anything off the top of my head...like OK Go, or Rise Against...not great examples but anyway, if you're saying something cliche, catch yourself and maybe it'd work if it's not already taken. just my advice. a lot of The... band names come from really cool things from history too. like The Decemberists (I'm almost positive) probably got their name from a revolt in Russia way back when. there's also simple things like The Shins or The Bravery. and Gatsby's American Dream totally comes from The Great Gatsby. just my analytic advice...good luck with your band.

I dont exactly no a good band name but if u take a few words from some lyrics from one of your favorite bands songs or if you use the title for one of their songs then you can usually come up with a pretty good name.
