China is the oldest, continuing civilization in the world. United from tribes (95% Han Chinese; 5% minority groups of 56 clans in China), undefeated by time, famine, floods, earthquakes, disease, many wars, European imperialism and the worse Japanese pogroms, vivisections, etc.; political strife. It's got something if it ain't got power. However, China would never plan to teach a "lesson" to any country, except for Taiwan which is considered a rogue territory and not a separate country. China will unify all Chinese terrorities one day. It has always been a xenophobic society.
They are brilliant in letting our government worry about the N. Korean's nuclear ambitions. "Yes, U.S.A. should worry...We will just become more industrialized."

I don't know, but the person who wrote this question should have been the third child of a familiy in rural China. Then they might review which lessons the Chinese are qualified to teach the Western world.
Aside from that, the West discovered electricity. The very thing which separates civilized nations from what we call underdeveloped nations. Just because China has two billion people doesn't mean they are even close to becoming an industrialized nation. The majority of their population is agricultural and insanely poor.
Therefore, China has very little actual power to utilize and is not qualified to give America lectures on Ethics.

I live in China. It will be a while before they can "teech" anyone anything. They are amazingly inefficient, and the people basically are just trying to get ahead. They are very pragmatic, just like their government, which has no real ideology but makes every decision to maintain its grip on the power. The majority of the Chinese people either want to get out of China, want to be just like the Americans, or they live in the villages and don't know America from Beijing.

Why do you say "teach the yanks a lesson." This sounds as though it is something you want to happen. I hope that China will not be an aggressor towards us or any other country. But I do admit that is wishful thinking. As to when, I hope it won't be before we can manage to put a quick and powerful stop to it.

China won't because they're policies are more hands OFF than hands on. America will eventually learn that they can't be involved in every country in the world...though HELL (if there is one) will freeze over before that'll happen.
