i dont care what he's done, he is still the greatest player of the last generation, it's sad he had to finish his career in that way but that does not take away from the great contributtion he has made to world football over the last 10 years and i for one will never forget the first truly great player i ever saw, in a world cup where the current greats like ronaldo and ronaldinho underperformed it was good to see zidane shine and i will never forget him and what he has given the game and us the fans of the game

Zidane- has his own song, a player with charisma, was supposed to get 'The golden ball' award, supposed to have a movie made after him --and now??? So sad how life has a way that 1 moment can change your whole life. I want to believe that there are 2nd chances, but I just don't know what to think now. When France won against Portugal, all of them were jumping around like lunatics, thrusting around probably worse than Shakira!- but Zidane, such a gentleman to the end, stood his ground, smiling, hugging people. Zidane.. Zezou.. Zezou zeZou ZeZou..la ..la.. I'll sing your song to the end.. zezou... Zezou-Zezou ZEzou.....ZeZOU

I totally agree with you. I was so sad to see Zidane end his international career on such a sour note. It's such a shame that people will remember his last WC game as the one where he got red carded for head butting. I just hope that people remember that aside from the incident that happened today, he is an amazing player and has been such a mentor and role model to others. He is a great player and hopefully will be remembered as such. I'll always have a great amount of respect for him and his playing.

i still love zidane with all of my heart! it stinks that he couldn't keep his cool, but i don't blame him. he is a classy player wihich means he has a lot of pride, and the stupid italinan player must have said something that zidane just couldnt let go, and i really dotn think the referre saw it happen, i think he saw it on the monitor, he is a liar, but anyway, france shoudl have won! and italy stinks.

I tatally agree with you in that he's an amazing player, he's unique. But the bad part is that we'll always remember what he did today instead of the great things he's done before. It's actually dissapointing.

I do, he is one of the greatest players ever still. I remember he was voted the greatest European player ever a couple of years back. He is an amazing player.
