Well it depends on your budget - Clinique make up is very nice, but it's also very expensive. Cover Girl is good quality for the price that it's offered at. Your underwear decision depends on what type of clothing you're going to wear over top and if you're going to a huge dance, then you should likely wear a dress (in which case maybe a thong would be best). As for expensive or average - how much does everyone else spend? Check with your friends.

Clinique makeup is better, but it's also significantly more expensive. I usually wear a little bit of both... I have clinique mascara, moisturizer and lipstick... but covergirl eyeliner, lipliner and coverup. So you can definately mix it up.

As far as the dance goes, wear something you're comfortable in, but I would definately play it up more than you would normally. I don't really understand the thong or pantie question though... the whole idea of a thong is to hide the whole pantie line issue. So if you put on your dress pants or skirt and you can see the lines of your underwear, wear a thong. If you're wearing jeans though it shouldn't matter either way.

1) Clinique is far superior to Covergirl make-up; I used Covergirl once, got a horrible eye reaction, got a facial to scrape the infernal stuff out of my pores and ran back to the Clinique counter...and I'll never go back.

2) Dresses are usually the norm for high-profile dances, but either can be equally formal. The type of outfit you wear and the material it's made from will determine the type of underwear you use, if any at all. The rule is, if you can see your undergarments under the fabric, it's no good.

3) Average for some things, expensive for others. For instance, a Cache-brand dress is higher quality and will last far longer than something you bought for $60.45 at the local Junior's department--but you'll probably only wear the dress once, and the $200.00 price tag on the Cache dress might not be worth it.

Have fun at your dance!

Clinique is by far better than Cover Girl!!! Thongs are a bit passe, try a lacy mesh boyshort. Still cute but much more comfy. And I would wear a dress, and choose "unique" over expensive or average...sounds like money isn't an object, so try to find something that makes your individuality stand out!

Go Covergirl. I've loved every product I've ever used by them, and they can dress up or down. Go with thong if you find them more confortable. If it is a casual dance, go with a dress, but not too dressy; a halter dress a few inches above the knee would be good. That way you'll stand out from those wearing jeans, but only in a good way, not too conspicious. Don't sweat it too much.

Cover Girl is better, but better than that is Revlon..its a little bit pricy but its well worth it.I think if you have a tight dress u should wear a thong becoz no one wants to see an undie line, i think dresses are more girly, but it depends on your personlaity, what you wear really shows who u r as a person, so choose carefully! And as for expensive or average, depending on what kind of dance it is, like a school dance, u should prob go a bit cheaper considering ur parents sre prob gunna get stuk paying for it! but if not, maybe u could go a little dearer

Clinique by far, but better yet is Lancome. They have the best mascara and liner. It doesn't clump or run. You sometimes have to reapply it, but I would rather do that then have it smear all over. It almost seems to disappear after a few hours. I also love their skin products.

Clinique
What ever undies you feel comfortable in. I prefer thongs myself. Don't stand out like a soar thumb but there is nothing like shining a little
