El Camino is because it had the 350 smallblock engine and was built longer (well after the ranchero stopped being built).

I have a burgundy brown 80's El Camino-love it!!!
We take it to the beach all the time.

Well, maybe because it remind you "El Camino asi al Cielo"
But I like Ranchero better. Because is the country style and big Sombreros.

It really depends on your manufacturer preferences, one ford, one chevy, both nearly the same, after all, cars are just nuts and bolts,,,, lol
