Very seldom does God actually heal anyone directly. I once had a friend who I was trying to keep alive (while severely injured and unconscious) through a sort of psychic healing connection. Unfortunately, doing so was extremely draining for me (emphasis on EXTREMELY). My father and I prayed for her, and inside of about 10 minutes I could feel the greatest amount of the pull on my energy dissipate. I believe to this day that one of the other energy healers I had asked for help put in their two cents worth, so to speak (I had sent her picture to several for them to use to focus on her, and asked for their help as well). However, the timing leaves it hardly to chance that God was also involved. It's called synchronicity. God times everything so that SOMETHING will intervene when it needs to, even if He doesn't have to override the natural laws of the universe to do it.
End of story: She recovered to full health, completely amazing her doctors. She actually woke up and demanded to be taken home during what was supposed to have been her last few hours on this Earth, when her doctor had called her family to come and say goodbye.

Not that can be proven.
The 50/50 chance was hardly God. There are 50/50 chances that don't fall on the side of living. God doesn't save everyone. In fact it looks like what you'd expect from chance. The treatment worked. If it weren't for the treatment, you'd have died. God didn't save you. Your doctors did. Thank them. Isn't that miracle enough for you?
Take your chances with medicine and not faith. If you really believe God can heal you, then go with Christian Science and eschew medicine altogether. They believe only those who are truly pure of spirit stay well.
What about people who die even when they were prayed for. Were they not worthy? Did the loved ones not pray hard enough? Is it all part of a 'plan' that we mere mortals can't comprehend? Of course you should also ask about anyone who hasn't been healed by god. Who all has children, spouses, parents, siblings who were not healed by God, but were left to die despite fervent prayers.
I'm glad those posters survived, but they are crediting God when they should be crediting modern medicine.
Of course the two people answering 'know' God healed them. No way to prove it was God. No way to prove is wasn't. The True Believer cannot see how capricious God is. How random his decisions to spare people from death and suffering are. How basically evil God is if he exists.

Believing in the power of God or prayer can change ones attitude, and emotions towards healing. It can make people take on a positive and hopeful attitude towards healing which can in turn make them heal more effectively. The mood caused by believing in God or prayer or whatever can actually change one's physiology. However, to say that it is God doing the healing, that is up to one's belief system, but scientifically speaking, your attitude is really helping your own body heal itself better.
My great grandfather used to say, "If you believe in the chair, then the chair will work miracles for you". Just having a belief that causes a positive outlook can help you heal faster. One can always take a positive attitude without God, but many need God to do so, and it makes it easier for them. Whatever works for you, try it.

My grandpa has. His liver is failing, so the toxins in his body build up. A normal ammonia level is 30. My grandpa was rushed to the hospital in a coma and had a level of 380! The doctors said they had never seen a level that high and couldnt believe he was still alive. We all came to his bedside and prayed. The next day, his level was down to 40. The doctors said that they had never seen someone bounce back so fast and their level drop so quickly. My grandpa was awake again and ready to go home. They said there was no medical or scientific reason that my grandpa had even survived it, let alone gotten better so quickly. We praised the Lord because we know the power of prayer was proved that day. That was just a couple of months ago

Yes, God healed me. A car ran over me as I was crossing the street and I was in a coma for a month. They said that IF I came out of coma I would live in a home car eplace for ever. I came out of coma and went to rehab. There they said I would be there for eighteen months and would live ini a rest hom forever. I was out in three, went back to school, got a B.A. and then a Master's degree. Rehab. shrinks also diagnosed me as retarded but I scored in the ninty first percentile of intelligence from another shrink.
