Albert Einstein once said that the best way to teach is by example and I agree.

Different societies need different types of government. You might call certain societies "immature." Much like the way that families are governed in different ways, it is best to regulate based on the maturity of the children. Many countries which establish democracy either voluntarily or forcibly may call it a democracy, but there arises a so-called "tyranny of the majority." If a certain intolerant religion occupies a large part of the voting body, they can become tyrannical, not necessarily from one leader. People are often uneducated and uncultured to the rights of other people and would rather engage in violence than discussion. This is a sort of cultural immaturity. In the situation where the minority needs to be protected (ie. african american civil rights in the mid-20th century), the government has to act in favor of equality, not necessarily democracy. So I would argue that perhaps some societies may not be ready or 'mature' enough for democracy.
Also, pure capitalism is somewhat self-destructive. If a company does well, and beats it's competitors, it can continue to do so and spread to offer more services and products in various areas. Essentially, you end up with a monopoly. No small companies are able to even start to compete at all and capitalism has kind of killed itself. A lot of people think this is happening with Wal-Mart, or Microsoft, etc. Obviously, government controlled grocery stores isn't the answer either, but surely you can see the dilemma.
I suppose the answer is that people do "teach by example" and engage in discussion for what would be best for societies, but I don't think that republican democracy is the "BEST type of government in the world" for every society. It's just another thing of balance where you don't want to go to either extreme.

Why is the republican democracy system the best in the world exactly? Many people would disagree. It allows for corruption and gives the President too much power. A two-house prime minister led system with a figurehead Head of State such as the Westminster system as used in the UK and Canada is far better in my opinion.
As for how to spread democracy and capitalism. Not through war, I'll tell you that.

First of, why would you want to spread democratic capitalism throughout the world? Many people do not want to have democratic capitalism, they prefer to be told what to do. And there is no proof that capitalism is the best economic system, eventually the brightest people will rule and take all the resources while those less able will be left with next to nothing.

countries which could be suggested to have a democratic/capitalist gadget have been on condition that way by way of coming up themselves, no longer attempting to unfold the gadget. We, in fact, left England and began up in very, very perplexing situations. If we can shop going properly, then others from international will proceed to word. different cultures won't proportion the aggressive spirit as strongly as we do, and that's ok, as long as they are able to ward off being a burden to different countries.

It is not our place to "spread" or force other nations with our beliefs or religions! Remember this country was formed around a bunch of people who didn't want the Queen of England telling us what religion to practice. Look at Communist China and tell me why there economy is rising so fast and why they have tripled there defense spending?
