They are both pretty much putzes when it comes to romance. But, Spiderman is smooth and debonair. He can look a woman straight in her eyes and tell a bold face lie. He is the consumate bachelor party animal.

They are both gay.
All super herores are gay. They run around in their tights with their masks, popping in and out of closets, trying not to get into relationships, afraid of giving away their secret. It is like they elude to in "Chasing Amy" super heroes are gay. Even if they wanted to be romantic they can't, they would probably kill their mate the first time they had sex. Gay.
