there is a screw at the top of what holds the arm and the ball this will adjust the level of water in your tank.

First, there should be a shut-off valve down near the base of the toilet. Turn that until the water stops flowing. Then open the back of the tank. Take a bucket or cup and fill the back until the bobber raises. That's a quick fix. Then you can turn the water back on if you want. But this'll just keep it from overflowing right this minute. If plunging isn't working, you'll need to call a plumber.

I am not a plumber but it sounds like you might have a stoppage somewhere that is clogging your line to the main sewer line. Did you recently change the internal parts of the toilet? I don't think this problem could happen on its own.

If its a clog you will need to have the drain cleaned out. If you have a yard with trees the roots could have grown through the pipes. After its cleaned out there is some stuff called RidX for keeping roots from growing -- some kind of enzyme. It works. I've used it for years.

Good luck. I may be too that the internal parts of the toilet need to be replaced -- the whole thing could have broken.

I have found that after a flush, quickly bend the rod that is holding the ball, to give the ball down lower in the tank, this might need some finner adjustments, but should hold you till you get to the store....Good Luck...

Sounds like something is obstructing the diaphragm in the back, or the diaphragm is worn out, and/or you flushed a heavy diaper or kotex down the toilet and it is stuck.
Continue plunging, or you may need a plumber to roto-route it out with a snake.

It sounds like your chain might be broken or loose. Just take the lid off the tank and see if the chain has come loose. If it has, rehook it. If it's still hooked, see if it's caught on something. Sometimes just jiggling the chain will help fix whatever the problem is. It all depends.

not sure what you are asking,,,make sure flapper valve is closed,,,if it is water should not be running into the bowl,, if its the tank thats filling up to the top,,,your valve is bad and needs to be replaced,,,shut off water at wall till you can fix it,,,if bowl is clogged and filling up,,,keep plunging,,,if it doesnt work you need a sewer snake

your U-bend is blocked

easiest is a big sucker-thing which you push up and down and it sucks the obstruction out of the way.

the proper tool is a flexible wire which is pushed down the toilet and round the u-bend. a short piece of hosepipe might work
